Pakistan , our beautiful homeland is blessed with picturesqueness. It’s every season has its own elegance characterised by different colours.

And “the Nature “ beautifies “one “view by changing different seasons.

I have a great urge to unfold all the hidden colours of the Nature, so I usually travel around the same place in different seasons.

So , As soon as , a long snowfall spell stoped , I scheduled a trip with my friends ,to Arang Kel

Arangkel is a dreamy tourist attraction, located at the hilltop , at an altitude of 8,379 feet (2,554 m)
You can say , it’s a paradise on earth, which is laying in the lap of Himalayas .

How to get there? Well!!! To reach there we hired local jeeps because only skilled drivers can drive these days. There was snow and ice on the road it was quite difficult to drive in the morning. But in the evening it was somehow ok to drive.

From ISLAMABAD , after crossing Muzafferabad , we reached Keran after 250km drive , it took us 9 hours to get there.

Next day through jeeps we reached Arang Kel in the winter season. To avoid slippery roads conditions, we choose to hire local drivers, who can manage to get there safely. And I’ll also recommend it to everyone.
We reached Arang Kel in 4.5 hours while distance was 65km

Arang Kel village is accessible by a 2-kilometer trek , starts from Kel. It can also be accessed by a kilometre-long chairlift administrated by Local Government and Rural Development Department and supervised by Pakistan Army.

The chairlift ride is itself a novel experience.
You had took a lot of rides but this ride is one of its kind.

After finishing the ride, we had to trekk through a snowy and steeped trek for about 45 Minutes to reach the village. That hike was similar to the “miranjani “ or “mukshpuri’s.

As soon as we reached at the top and saw the first glimpse of the village, fatigue just vanished.

The whole meadow was covered with the sheer white snow sheet. And the view of giant snow-capped mountain behind the colourful houses was so fascinating that we totally forgot the world outside Arang Kel , for a while.

We spent a quality time in the village. And tried to capture the picturesque views all around.

Here , I may told you that , during winters , Keran is most suitable place for overnight stay, because you’ll get good heating systems and hot water to use , during accommodations.

So you have to reach back in time to Karen for overnight accommodations.
So we went back to Keran before the sunset.
