"For us, the Blues is one of the few music genres that can still be described as honest music!" In April 2016, the two friends Florian Trummer (guitar, vocals) and Egon Marbler (bass) decided to make music together. Florian suggested Claus Konrad as a drummer for the band, who was immediately enthusiastic about the idea. In July 2016, the three played for the first time under the name "Cradle Trio". "Cradle" stands for "origin" or "roots", which also symbolizes the blues. But other genres such as jazz, rock, pop and country can be found in their repertoire. In 2018, the trio Martin Maitz took on the keyboards as the fourth member of the band.
The guitarist Florian Trummer finds his musical roots entirely in blues. His biggest role model is Eric Clapton "For me it's much easier to express my feelings with the help of my guitar, because I often do not need words about it. I play the way I feel. "
Egon Marbler is called by his bandmates "Groove Machine". With his basslines, he also often brings funk elements into the band's own compositions.
Claus Konrad lives for good music and you can tell that when he plays his drums. Claus often comes up with many creative ideas that the three musicians use to create new songs.
Martin Maitz has been a member of the band since 2018 and impresses with his skills on keyboard instruments. Organ, piano or synthesizer sounds offer a variety of musical possibilities.
In May 2018, the "Cradle Trio" released its first EP entitled "Blue Mood", which features only original compositions by the band. The first CD was presented in the center in Feldbach in front of a numerous and enthusiastic audience. In the same year followed performances at the "Old Hodern Festival" in Riegersburg, the "Most & Jazz" in Fehring, the "Jazz Love Festival" and many other events. The band was also enthusiastic about their own event "Cradle Trio & Friends", which took place in the Glam in Feldbach. "As you can see, the audience was very enthusiastic and that's why we plan to organize a" Cradle Trio & Friends "at least once a year." In January 2019, the four musicians gave the 50th anniversary of the "Rooftop Concert "The Beatles a roof concert in Feldbach city center. Nine songs from the Beatles repertoire gave the band the best.
