In a hard-hitting press conference, AICC Media & Publicity Department Chairman Pawan Khera accused the government of orchestrating a deliberate conspiracy against the people of Bihar. He criticized the timing of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voters' list, which is set to occur just before the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. Khera claimed that this process, requiring citizens to verify their identity and prove citizenship during door-to-door voter verification, is an attack on the rights, identity, and existence of Bihar’s voters. He called it a "direct assault on democracy and an unconstitutional attempt to erase the identity of Bihar's citizens."
