Icebreaker Tour | Aurora Australis

Join us behind the scenes virtual tour of Australia’s Antarctic icebreaker, Aurora Australis.

Climb the gangway with Australian Antarctic Division Senior Shipping Officer, Nicki Wicks, to explore the bridge, heli-deck, trawl-deck and mess.

You’ll also get the chance to see how expeditioners live and work on the ship she crosses the Southern Ocean.

The Aurora Australis has been working for the Australian Antarctic Program for 30 years.

The ship undertakes marine science and annual resupply voyages to Australia’s three Antarctic stations, Casey, Davis and Mawson, and sub-Antarctic Macquarie Island.
