Join geology professor Shawn Willsey on a great July 4 hike to still snowy Sawtooth Lake, a large alpine lake nestled at 8,435 feet and at the foot of towering Mt Regan (10,190 feet). Learn about the granitic rocks of the Idaho batholith along with the amazing and scenic glacial landscape where glaciers grew and gouged out cirques and U-shaped canyons during the last Ice Age.
