One of the most obvious single candlesticks is the Doji.

Basically, instead of a large body, the Doji candle has almost no body.

This means that price action finished the period in almost the same place that it started.

This is an important candle on any time frame and it could be a clue to an impending reversal as it indicates indecision on the part of buyers and sellers.

The Doji should be used in conjunction with other candles to confirm the reversal and, of course, use other indicators to confirm before you open a position.
