The final confrontation of Metroid Prime 2 Echoes. We move from the Sky Temple Save Station and head into the Emperor Ing's sanctuary. Emperor Ing has 3 phases, each with their own scans. Phase 1, we have to hit and destroy the tentacles coming out of the Emperor, which shifts it to a large energy sphere with shields on the sides, hit the sphere between the shields to do actual damage to the Emperor, rinse and repeat until phase 2. Phase 2, the Emperor is in the form of a large cocoon, it can be traversed with the Spiderball, and we need to destroy the tentacles that come out of the indents in the cocoon, one of the best ways to do this is just to put down Power Bombs on or near the indents, and to keep doing that until all the indents are destroyed. Phase 3, the Emperor Ing is in its final and true form, when its mouth glows orange, hit it until it becomes white or purple, if its white it the open mouth with Dark Beam to damage it, and if its purple hit it with Light Beam to damage it. Do this for long enough that the Emperor Ing goes down and Samus can collect the Light of Aether.
Once the light is collected a classic Metroid self destruct sequence begins, complete with countdown timer. Rush out of the room and get out of the Temple. Outside of the Temple a cutscene plays with Samus's escape being blocked by Phazon, the origin of which is non other than Dark Samus. The true final boss fight begins. We have a time limit, so efficiency is important. Scan her for the Dark Samus 3 entry, then if Dark Samus is cloaked in light blue Phazon it is invulnerable, but when not in that state and when invisible (only visible with the Echo Visor) it can be hit, a charged Light, Dark, or Annihilator is going to be our best option for damage, for both speed and overall damage. Do this until DS is at about 75% health then scan it again for Dark Samus 4, and this phase has 2 states: Ball of Phazon, firing of shots of Phazon, if it's a large shot, dodge it, if it is a bunch of small shots, jump into them while holding a charged shot to get a powerful Phazon Beam attack to do massive damage, the other state is DS strafing around the battlefield, mostly vulnerable to attack. Go between these modes until DS is down and the battle is won and the game is over.
We go into the final cutscenes of Samus escaping Dark Aether before it collapses back into the singular whole Aether. Samus returning the light and Light Suit to the Luminoths. Getting read to board her ship, and since we have collected 100% of the items in the game Samus takes off the Varia Suit to be in the Zero Suit, before flying off, then we are give a final scene of Dark Samus reforming in space, not quite defeated.
