Brendan Banfield is on trial, facing four counts of aggravated m*rder, one count of child endangerment and one count of the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. His defense attorney, John F. Carroll, indicated to Judge Azcarate that he is expected to testify at this own trial. In February 2023, a double homicide inside a quiet Fairfax County, Virginia home left two people dead: pediatric nurse Christine Banfield, and Joseph Ryan, a man lured to the home under alleged false pretenses. NOTE: This is a homicide trial, so some exhibits may be disturbing/upsetting for some viewers. Nothing graphic or exploitative in any way is shown. Just know that there are some crime scene photos of the carpet, clothing, etc. It is part of the exhibits of the case.
