This quick video tutorial shows how to acquire the potent frostbite venom. This requires the Pets of Skyrim creation. The pets can be found without the quest but it's better to begin from the beginning with the "For Sale" note at the Bannered Mare in Whiterun. It tells of a pack goat for sale in Rorikstead. Head there and speak with the farmhand Halvar to buy Hilda the goat for $200. His nearby bedroll has a journal. This begins the quest to find the other four tamable creatures. The tamed frostbite spider named Arachnia is found within the secret vampire lair in Cronvangr Cave just east of Mixwater Mill in Eastmarch. Defeat the vampires and the "Vampire Naturalist" has the spider cage key. After a small amount of time Arachnia will have the option to harvest some venom. This will be more potent frostbite venom! Hilda the goat offers jugs of milk. Skritch the skeever searches for food items. Thistle the rabbit searches for harvestable ingredients. Sweetroll the fox searches for valuables. The craftable animal pack adds 40 carry weight to the goat and skeever only giving the goat 139 carry weight and the skeever 79 carry weight. Arachnia and Sweetroll have 20 carry weight. Thistle has 5 carry weight. The animal collar is visual only and all but Arachnia can wear it. They are all essential. Two can be recruited at a time. Each one has an alteration teleport spell to summon them in any location.
