Young Thug Attorney Confronts Judge On State 'Intimidating' Lil Woody

On Thursday afternoon in the Young Thug trial, defense attorney Brian Steel confronted Judge Glanville regarding the state allegedly intimidating witness Kenneth Copeland, also known as Lil Woody. Steel said, "This is like communist Russia," as he explained that he believed the state wasn't treating the witness fairly. Young Thug faces nearly a dozen charges, including possession of drugs and weapons, participation in criminal street gang activity, and conspiracy to violate Georgia’s RICO Act. The rapper was arrested in May of 2022 along with 27 other alleged gang members. Many of those defendants have taken plea deals in the case.
