Welcome to another episode!


Get out your notebooks and get ready for some learning! Today we are going to try to teach you a few things. We are going to be doing this while enjoying some heavily-poured glasses of Red Wine. The Bota Box: Cabernet Sauvignon specifically. (Yes, it's boxed wine, but you know what..still tasty and worthy to be featured in a classy 'culture' segment)


*It's no surprise anymore, but just putting it here anyway: Mochi causes trouble again this episode..sorry*


Brittany is going to discuss some facts, travel destinations, and touch lightly on some culture involved with said places, in and directly around Beijing. Skylar will pop in here and there to offer some assistance on some pronunciations as well. Beijing is obviously a very culture-rich and beautiful place, and Brittany simply could not cover everything there is to experience, see, do or go in to all traditions and so on. If you are interested to learn more we highly suggest you look into this lovely place, and if you are able, we hope maybe you can even travel there yourself someday!


Skylar is going to touch on some basics with teaching us all Mandarin. She will cover some generic terms, grammar, vocabulary, familial terms, numbers, etc. Skylar would like to remind everyone that she is by no means an expert or an official teacher. She is simply someone who loves to learn, loves to share her passions, and loves languages. She is completely self-taught, and she is constantly trying to better learn herself in all areas, this, of course, includes the Mandarin language.

As we are both just trying this episode to teach ourselves more about the world, and hopefully you as well, we are completely open and willing to learning more on the subject, or if there are any corrections anyone might have to share with us.
