Alice & the Reverie ( ‪@aliceandthereverie1911‬) comprises of Miriam Martin, Evan Surmaj, Casey Sanders, Nate Griffin and Scott Mistead. Their music is a blend of both dreamy, and haunting melodies with a bite. AATR was formed in 2015 when singer/songwriter Miriam Martin and guitarist Evan Surmaj began collaborating and playing shows around the Richmond, VA area.They soon brought along bassist Casey Sanders and recorded their first single, "The Beginning", produced and recorded by Jeremy Simmons at Elephant Ear Studios. With the vision for the band continuing to grow they caught the ear of fellow RVA musician and friend, Nat Griffin, (Fear of Music) who joined as keyboardist and guitarist for the band. They were then introduced to Nate's roommate and drummer Scott Milstead who joined forces with them later that year. With a solid group they released their debut album, The Way We Go in 2018 and have played at venues all over Richmond including The Broadberry, The Camel and Cary Street Café.
