What Camerons Car Reviews has to say about the 5 Series: The 5 Series is now in it's third model year and it's holding up pretty well. The 5 Series is just one of those cars you will feel proud to own especially if your a car or BMW enthusiast. The interior of the 5 Series is very luxurious yet sporty at the same time and everything is ergonomically correct in the car as well just like pretty much every BMW. Driving dynamics is also very BMW like and very fun to drive, but in the recent years BMW has been slipping a bit on driving dynamics. Room in the rear seat is not cramped, however competitors like The Lexus GS and Acura RLX are going to fit the bill better. Power comes from a wide range of options from the 2.0 L Turbo 4-Cylinder that we tested to a heavy duty 4.4 L Twin- Turbo V8 from either a 8-Speed Automatic or 6-Speed Manual with fuel economy also being pretty good. All in all great car from BMW.
