In 19th century a new philosophical (which of course had its roots in philosophies and writings of earlier times) theory called existentialism came into existence (no pun intended). In simple language it means that an individual is a sovereign entity and irrespective of the different types of groups he/she or society may attach him/herself, is responsible for his/her acts and achievements in an individual capacity.

In today’s India, there are many problems that can be solved by the guidance if this philosophical theory. Here, I haven’t shared much about the details of existentialism like from where, by whom, when it was proposed because all that information is abundantly available on internet, in all forms. I have just tried to lay here some of the existential ideas, I think, could help to solve some of our country’s problems.
