Over the past year, Prof. Max Hulburt has been adding exciting new offerings to our curriculum in the area of Virtual Production. In this three-course sequence, students learn cutting-edge techniques for using motion capture and the Unreal game engine to produce both CGI and live action films. Demand for a Virtual Production skillset is growing in the industry, and we’re preparing film, animation, and gaming students for an exciting career path in this arena. Last quarter, Prof. Hulburt took his class up to L.A. to visit our friends at AMGI Studios, a company which has already hired two of our alumni and which will be using these techniques to produce an animated feature for Netflix this summer!
