Meal Tickets is a roc-doc filmed over 10 years about the lives of six high school mates and a roadie they meet along the way, who dedicate their twenties to seeking success in the fields of music, art and film.

Australian filmmaker Mat de Koning culled 700-hours of footage of his best friends, to make this no holds barred look into being a rock 'n' roller in the age where the Internet changed the game. From Perth to New York to Melbourne to Los Angeles we are given a back stage pass to the gigs, the tour bus, the toilet and the mattress.

There is grit, filth and partying with all the messiness of youth. But gradually the boys grow up, grow apart and start to grow into who they are meant to be. Each of the boys questions if they have got what it takes to be a star and ultimately, what success truly means.

Meal Tickets is due for completion in September 2013
