Milwaukee Switch Pack M18 Drum Machine

Here’s a very quick look at the M18 Switch Pack #2775B-211 sectional drum machine w/ the 3/8” x 50’ cable and a 1-1/2” dual sided cutter running thru a fairly solid block on a 2” F.D. This is not the only video I have, stay tuned.

I’ll be running this machine a lot more this week to get a better look at what its capable of but so far I can say its a tough competitor for just about any branch line blockage. You can see the machine move around slightly, there is a nice stabilizer bar that slides out of the base but I intentionally left it tucked away to see how it would act when some tension was on the drum.

The biggest advantage I can see right away is the ability to switch between cable sizes easily and quickly. No tools are needed to change the drum so having a 5/16” cable along with a 3/8” (and even 1/2” inner core or 5/8” open wind) on the truck makes this machine versatile. I’d have to try it out with a 1/2” or 5/8” cable to get any idea of its upper pipe diameter capability, published info on Milwaukee’s site states it will handle drains up to 4” but I have strong reservations on that spec.
