Wasn't my first choice, but it fit better than some other songs.

So this one is a bit interesting. If you remember my song Sub Noctem, a massive deep cut from back in 2020, it was a song I wrote after beginning my deep dive into Trivium. But that wasn't the only song I wrote during that time. I actually wrote a song that's a bit more Catastrophist inspired, and that's where the intro of this song came from. It's not plagiarism if you're copying your own ideas! Nevertheless, I was struggling to come up with ideas for this track, and kept on coming back to that riff. And before I knew it, the rest of the song wrote itself.

This is the last area boss before the final boss, and the character has a relationship with the final boss, which I'll have explained in my big live stream to explain the whole album. But if you've listened through the whole album by the time this video comes out, you may recognise some leitmotifs from other songs, and there's a lot of parallels between this character and a few others throughout the world. I hope you can see those relations at least.
