This is the second video about repatriation and how the heritage sector has moral and ethical responsibilities regarding the artefacts within their collections. A discussion is had on the importance of cultural heritage and how material culture is accumulated, exported and displayed within museums. How objects have been misrepresented and displayed to the general public is discussed, and the ethical reasons for changing attitudes of museums.

The video uses examples of a Lakota Ghost Shirt and Maori human remains which were successfully repatriated, after a long process and how they have led to respect and reconciliation between different societies. The video concludes why studying the subject repatriation is important and the lessons that can be learnt in the present and for the future.
