At this event, students from the University of New South Wales will showcase their experiences in developing their first Forge (https://developer.atlassian.com/platf... ) apps. Each group will present the app they created as part of their capstone project, with each app utilizing AI to enhance Confluence's capabilities for specific use cases.

The apps integrate with a range of large language models (LLMs) like OpenAI and Gemini through their APIs. You can access these APIs from Forge using the Forge Fetch API (https://developer.atlassian.com/platf... ) with bearer token authentication, along with its External authentication (https://developer.atlassian.com/platf... ) capabilities for APIs that need OAuth 2.0 tokens. Within Confluence, you can trigger the apps from the Confluence content action (https://developer.atlassian.com/platf... ) or the context menu (https://developer.atlassian.com/platf... ) and create advanced Macros (https://developer.atlassian.com/platf... ) to provide additional value to the end users.
