Whernside is the highest of the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge (the two others are Pen-y-Ghent and Ingleborough).
It stands over a the Ribblehead Viaduct which carries the Settle–Carlisle railway across Batty Moss in the Ribble Valley.
I was lucky to catch a beautiful day on my visit and I took my 7" Apex LR on a tour of both.
