The speaker for the session Ms. Kadambari is an eminent litigator, arbitrator and mediator. She is designated as an Additional Standing Counsel NDMC and is also a Senior Panel Counsel for UOI. She has represented Indian & Foreign Companies (incl. Fortune 500), PSUs and Individuals and is an independent director in a few companies.
About the session - Ma'am discussed in length about the succession and inheritance rights for women right from Vedas to 1956 Act followed by 2005 Amendment. Also, the recent judgment Vineeta Sharma v. Rakesh Sharma (2020) 9 SCC 1, was discussed in detail where the Apex Court held that daughters like some have an equal birthright to inherit Joint Hindu Family Property.
