Welcome to the middle of nowhere!

Rough, unforgiving and isolated are all valid ways to describe the Razor-Viking Wilderness Zone. The area is well away from anything, and the summit of The Viking sits right in the middle of it.

Few summits pose as much of a challenge to reach as The Viking. Despite having a trail through the area, it still feels well off the beaten track.

Foretunately, reaching the summit is incredibily rewarding and offers some of the best mountain vistas I've seen in the High Country.

Still need to head back to finish the Viking Circuit thanks to me fumbling the map reading, but that will have to wait for cooler months... it's not a place to be in the heat of summer.
