FLY TYING-ADAMS COMPARADUN-THE DEADLIEST FLIES with Chris Walklet

The comparadun style mayfly is one of the most effective and versitile mayfly patterns that exist today for picky surface feeding trout. This is a variation combining the Adams dry fly of Leonard Halliday (circa 1922) with the Haystack of Fran Betters (circa 1930) with the comparadun style dry fly pattern made famous by Al Caucci and Bob Nastasi in the 1970's. Combining the characteristics of all three and what you have is an all around effective attractor pattern to match any Mayfly hatch. The advantages of this style pattern is to imitate a low riding mayfly, emerging mayfly or spinner that is more vulnerable to the selective trout. So with this I have combined the success and history of a very effective dry fly attractor pattern with the effectiveness of a style that can increase the take rate of selective feeding trout. A deadly fly.
