In this video, “Transhipment facility shutdown: Bangladesh has forgotten that India has less to lose. India is a major player in garment exports, particularly when it comes to ready-made garments. In 2023-24, India's garment exports were $14.5 billion. Bangladesh's National Board of Revenue (NBR) has suspended import of yarn from India through land ports, reports Ahsan Tasnim.

Import of yarn through the Benapole, Bhomra, Sonamasjid, Banglabandha and Burimari land ports will no longer be permitted.
