Dr. Atomic’s Medicine Show returns to the Oregon County Fair with another satirical performance poking fun at that which needs to have fun poked at it. This band of rogues skewers a wide range of American society’s foibles, and - of course - its politics. Their motto: “It is the duty of the humor of any given time to cause the people to laugh at the danger that confronts them in such a way that they do not die before they get killed.”

Dr. Atomic's Medicine Show, which first performed at OCF in 1974, has appeared at almost every Country Fair since 1980. It began by visiting the planned sites of nuclear power plants across Oregon and - using a humorous melodrama - urged local residents to reject the developments.
