Mario was one of the fist games i ever played as a child and i LOVED IT! I have pretty much played every Mario game that has come out. First there was the side scrolling Mario games that we all know and love. Then there was the amazing masterpiece that was Super Mario 64 and we cannot forget about Mario Galaxy. Mario has even been played in sports and racing games! Where isn't Mario!? Just when i thought you couldn't play any different form of Mario i ran into this!
Mario in first person is a fresh new take on our favorite Mario. The best way i could describe this game would have to be Mirror's Edge and Mario had a baby. When you see mushroom kingdom from this point of view it makes the game such a new experience and if its too difficult there is a little map on the bottom that is exactly like the original Super Mario game that shows you what is around you but i found that the game was way more enjoyable just looking at the main First person camera. In fact this game scared me better than most horror games and i think this is just about as far away from a horror game as you could possibly get.
The only thing that was wrong with the game is there were a few bugs where if i pressed the enter key i would be permanently stuck and was unable to move. Also it could have just been me but i had no idea how to walk through the pipes so i couldn't progress to level three :p I would gladly play a full version of this game and im really hoping that becomes a reality!
