S.D. Smith, author of The Green Ember, talks about his books, his writing method, his family working and traveling together, and why he loves homeschooling. As a special treat, we also get to talk with Sam's son, Josiah.

We interviewed S.D. Smith at the Great Homeschool Convention in Greenville, South Carolina, in March of 2017. While this interview was pretty short and very raw, with a ton of noise from the exhibit hall, I have a feeling a short section of this interview will make it into Schoolhouse Rocked: The Homeschool Revolution.

Over the years we have gotten to know and really love S.D. Smith and his family.
