Theory Vs Reality Will I Get Bent???

Understanding how Dive Tables and Dive Computers calculate the on gassing and off gassing of Nitrogen can be confusing. The key thing to remember is most Dive Tables and Dive Computers are designed with a lot of conservatism built in. Why you may ask? Well in short, training agencies and gear manufactures want to keep you safe, thus by creating conservative algorithms and tables, they can cover themselves in the event a diver was to get bent while diving. Plus not to mention, no two divers physiological make-up is identical. Both Fast and Slow Tissues on gas and off gas nitrogen at different rates, and since none of us are identical, then dive theory is simply that, theory. We encourage all divers to stay well with in the limits of their dive tables and computers, and seek proper training before attempting any diving outside of their current level of training.
