It's all about protecting the wire as an electrician! And when we are bending EMT pipe, we have to make sure we REAM the pipe (file the pipe) so that there are not any burrs (rough edges).

There's a lot of different tools electricians can use to ream a pipe, but I personally liked a dedicated reamer. If you are on a budget, I'd then suggest using sidecutters, as that always gave me the best experience to quickly ream EMT pipe regardless of size.
