Four Apeman H45 & four Apeman H55 Cameras
Seven Month Trial 14th March 2020 to 15th October 2020.

The test results & review:
All 8 cameras were left unattended over a seven month period. All 8 cameras were using the same batteries, SD cards, at the same location & under the same weather & environmental conditions.
Camera 1 H45 (Cam1) captured 4.53 GB of video & pictures. Worked until 19th May 2020. Date & time still correct during that period. Batteries tested as good. There was water in battery compartment which probably stopped the camera from working.

Camera 2 H45 (Cam2) captured 486 MB of video & pictures. Worked until 9th April 2020.
Date & time still correct. Batteries tested as good & still useable.

Camera 3 H45 (Cam3) captured 22.1 GB of video & pictures. Worked until 28th June 2020
Date & time still correct. Batteries tested as good & still useable. Rust in bottom of battery compartment

Date & time still correct. Batteries tested as good & still useable.

Camera 5 H55 (Cam5) captured 1.1 GB of video & pictures. Worked until 27th March 2020
Date & time believed to be correct on last video. The batteries were completely dead.

Camera 6 H55 (Cam6) captured 29.6 GB of video & pictures. Worked until 8th July 2020.
Date & time believed to be correct on last video. The batteries tested ok.

Camera 7 H55 (Cam7) captured 1.22 GB of video & pictures. Worked until 17th April 2020.
Date & time believed to be correct on last video. The batteries tested good.

Camera 8 H55 (Cam8) captured 10.7 GB of video & pictures. The camera was still working after 7 months. Date & time went wrong after a few months. The batteries tested good.

Review based on this 7 month test & the previous 6 month test which used the same cameras.
Although the the H55 has better video quality than the H45 & adjustable PIR sensitivity to reduce false triggering it does appear to suffer from water/moisture ingress which effects its reliability & performance. The sound level on the H55 is very low compared to the H45. Also, there are annoying clicks at the start of each video clip on the H55 which are not present on the H45. With the H45 you set the picture ratio to 16:9 to match the video size. You can not so this with the H55 & often miss reason for the camera being triggered if approached from the side.
For this 7 month test I repositioned the H55 cameras & placed them in more sheltered positions. I will probably buy more Apeman trail cameras in the near future but not the H55 as I feel this camera is not suitable for long term surveillance. In addition the date/time problem with the H55s is also an annoyance.
