Jointly sponsored by the Will Rogers High School Community Foundation and The Church Studio Music Foundation, this exciting performance on April 3, 2022, in the historic art deco Will Rogers Auditorium in Tulsa, Oklahoma, was part of The Church Studio's "LeonLifer Shindig" festivities. Executive Producer Teresa Knox and Producer Leon 1959 classmate Dick Risk are proud to invite you to celebrate Leon Russell's 80th Birthday!

The performing ensemble for the Leon Russell Birthday Concert is comprised of instrumentalists and singers who toured and recorded with Leon, led by Music Director Paul Benjaman and Co-Director Frank Padilla, and including superstars Claudia Lennear and Ann Bell along with Don White and David Teegarden and many other Tulsa Sound legends: Beau Charron, Brandon Holder, Billy Estes, Pete Marriott, Jennifer Marriott, Tom Nicholson, David Thayer, Alan Ransom, Wade Inman, Johnny Williams, Jon Glazer, Jared Tyler Frederick, and Cortez Johnson. Music historian and radio personality John Wooley is the master of ceremonies.

The above-named foundations jointly are and shall continue to be the sole and exclusive owners of the copyright and any elements in and added to the program throughout the world in perpetuity. This performance was captured by RSU-TV of Rogers State University for PBS and Public Television under license from the foundations.

RSU-TV possesses a broadcast music license agreement negotiated by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), National Public Radio (NPR), and the Public Broadcasting System (PBS) with The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), the Harry Fox Agency and SESAC on behalf of the Public Broadcasting System. CPB pays the fees under each of these agreements, which cover all stations that receive Community Service Grants or are members of NPR or PBS, including RSU-TV. Additionally, RSU-TV benefits from negotiated agreements made by CPB, NPR, PBS, and the Station Resource Group with Sound Exchange and several other performance rights organizations for the use and performance of sound recordings over the Internet.
