Track 3 from their debut album “Fickle Heart” released in 1979 copyright Atlantic Records. It was recorded at Regent Park Recording Company in London. The band was led by Paul Roberts, lead vocalist and sole songwriter, who began performing in England in ’74 but when the band he was with at the time didn’t work out, he moved to France. Luigi Salvoni, a drummer who had cut some demos with Roberts, saw their potential and convinced him to return to England to form a new band with him and approach Chiswick Records for a recording deal. They were signed and Salvoni produced their debut that included an impressive cover painting done by the multi-talented Roberts They can be considered a “one-hit wonder” for “Driver’s Seat” but their deep cuts show a blend of blues, jazz and country. I’m sure that their slide guitarist is a Duane Allman disciple. The album received above average reviews and reached No. 35 on the Billboard chart, led by the single “Driver’s Seat” which reached No. 17 in Canada, No. 15 on Billboard, No. 13 in Australia and No. 8 in the Netherlands.
