The Center for China and Globalization (CCG) invites Ayhan Kose, Acting Vice President of EFI Practice Group and Director of EFI Prospects Group, World Bank and Martin Raiser, World Bank’s Country Director for China and Mongolia and Director for Korea, to discuss Global Economic Prospects online. CCG President WANG Huiyao and YAO Yang, Dean of the China Center for Economic Research (CCER) of Peking University, will also join the discussions.

The Global Economic Prospects is the World Bank Group's flagship report on global economic development and prospects, with a special focus on emerging markets and developing economies. The reports are issued twice a year, in January and June, and serve as an important reference for governments and businesses of all countries to understand key trends of the global economy.

In addition to forecasts of short-term economic prospects, this issue of Global Economic Prospects delves into the challenges brought about by different measures in response to the pandemic in major regions, and the long-term impacts of the pandemic on various economies and their revelations. Further, the book also elaborates on the following aspects:
