Mirkarwada village in Ratnagiri is very densely populated with nearly 3000 people. The main occupation of the people is fishing with nearly 90% of the people being engaged in fisheries and related activities.
The people speak Konkani language and follow religion Islam. the village has a Jama masjid and four other mosques. Mirkarwada village is at sea coast and is protected from winds and sea currents naturally by the hills of Ratnagiri, the famous Bhagwati mandir is on one of this hills, the famous white sea beach is also linked side of the village..
