The EUR/USD ended the week unchanged, closing at $1.1773.

The GBP/USD decreased by -0.62%, closing the week at a £1.3390 exchange rate.

Apple Inc. is on its way to taking ownership of the music identification app, Shazam. Apple is in talks with privately-held, UK-based Shazam to pay about $400 million for the popular app – a deal that could be signed as early as next week. Shazam could help Apple expand its music fan base by making it easier to find songs and add them to their Apple music playlist. Currently, Apple Music has 27 million subscribers.

Gold fell by -0.38% as of last week’s market close, closing at $1,248.40. Crude Oil rose by +1.18%, closing at $57.36 a barrel.

Bitcoin decreased by a fifth of its worth in just 10 hours on Friday, after rising more than 40% in the previous 48 hours. Last Thursday, Bitcoin rose from below $16,000 to $19,500 in less than an hour. By Friday, it was worth less than $14,000. Analysts are fearing that that market could be heading for a price collapse.

The DOW Jones ended the week up by +0.49%, closing at a value of 24,329.16. The S&P 500 rose by +0.55%, closing at a value of 2,651.50. And lastly, the NASDAQ increased by +0.40%, ending the week at a value point of 6,840.08.
