Jennifer Williamson (D HD-36) is running for Portland's Westside she is a fourth generation Oregonian who grew up on a farm in Washington County. Williamson believes that Oregon needs to rein in its massive prison budgets that grow every year. Instead of locking up non-violent drug offenders for lengthy sentences, Williamson would focus more on treatment access, probation, and job training all of which could provide better results for less money than our criminal justice system now spends on prisons.
