Luke and I do a taste test of another UK confectionary, this time some Romney’s Kendal Mint Cake sent to us from Scott of the You Tube channel s124ish.
This was a food eaten by Edmond Hilary on his conquest of Mt Everest.

The home of Kendal Mint Cake! We are delighted to showcase a selection of our favourite products. Some of them, we hope, will be very familiar to you…. they are over 100 years old after all! As well as manufacturing our world famous Kendal Mint Cake, we also produce Romney’s Fudge in a multitude of flavours, Butter Tablet and our own traditional Treacle Toffee. We are also a wholesaler of several well known confectionery brands such as Jesmona, Uncle Joe’s and Haribo to name a few.

People enjoy our Mint Cake for a whole range of different reasons. Cyclists, mountaineers, walkers and fell runners often eat Mint Cake as their energy bar of choice. Some people of course eat it as a treat, we know many families never climb a mountain in the Lake District without the promise of Kendal Mint Cake at the top.
