ZWIFT : ZRL : POINTS RACE : OPEN EMEA-E SOUTHERN DIVISION 1 - SUGAR COOKIE - 17/09/2024

ZRL 2024/25 Season : Round 1 : Race 2 of 6 (POINTS RACE)

So after the TTT last week we knew this was going to be a brutal race with plenty of new Sprint Section PRs for all..... I achieved 3no during this race.

It was as predicted and was a tough one and I think as a team we all did our best to score as many points as possible.

I did get dropped from the front group shortly after the 2nd sprint section (Acropolis Sprint) as I messed up my timing and zapped my legs right at the beginning / banner???

I somehow managed to catch the front group but had used my AERO power up to do so which meant I had nothing to use when we came to the 3rd sprint section.

I was starting to feel it now as I had to use more energy to catch the front pack and knew in the back of my mind that the final climb section was going to be even more difficult than usual due to this.

The Dinos Team Captain was messaging me (as you will see) as I caught the pack and then what to do next.

Cody was telling me to take it easy and sort myself out as the 4th and final sprint section was mine to hit as hard as possible...... it worked BTW.

Anyway after that hard push on the final sprint section I was running on fumes and basically just needed to get home and score as many finishing points as possible.

Even ended up with a last minute dash to the line between a few off us that I really wasn't hoping for but still managed to get that little extra out of my legs.

The whole Team worked well once again and we scored some decent points...... well done Dinos Hot Peppers.
