Through the UI, we upload both .txt and .pdf bills. The backend parses content via API endpoints, stores structured bill entries into the database, and immediately reflects them in the UI.

We change a bill’s status from unpaid to paid directly in the UI.
If Vonage SMS/WhatsApp credentials are provided, notifications are sent in real time.
If no API key is present, the system gracefully falls back to console notifications.
This is production-ready design — no notification is ever lost, even if SMS API fails. Judges can verify logs instantly.

01:59 — Console Verification
Using journalctl on the Namecheap VPS, we show judges how fallback notifications are captured and logged. This demonstrates observability, auditability, and fault tolerance.

02:41 — Smoke Test on Server
Execution of smoke-test.sh on the AlmaLinux server validates all endpoints (/health, /upload, /bills, /notify). Results are verified live in the UI, ensuring end-to-end reliability.

03:10 — Bill Classification in UI
The UI demonstrates full categorization of bills: unpaid, paid, canceled, and all. Judges see how easy it is to filter and track civic bills dynamically.
