Welcome to an enchanting dry desert world in the middle of Taiwan, that is artificially created by the brilliance of a landscape designer, Johna. This manmade oasis is filled with a huge array of unique desert plants and caudiciforms - some of which are not only rare but even endangered in the wild .

These botanical treasures date back decades and centuries. Each one tells a story of resilience and adaptation to harsh desert environments.

Our knowledgeable host, Alvin graciously shares with us the species' names and their native origins, as well as interesting facts you didn’t think you needed. This would not be an onlyplants video if we did not discuss general care tips and propagation.

We were given access to their nursery that is brimming with an assortment of adorable baby caudex.

Scaling up production to meet future market demand is a must in order to protect their vulnerable population in the wild.
