‪Precious memories with Chipmunk Bikke‬/シマリスのビッケ

Dear fans of Bikke,
Bikke passed away on 30th April.
She was already severely weak but wait for me to come home and slept on my belly to the last breath. She suffered a lot but gave us courage till the end.

4 years are not a long life for chipmunk. We found out she had thyroid issue when she was one year old and we kept visiting vet once a month.
Unfortunately there's no fundamental cure and we tried many ways together. Bikke was always positive for thetreatment to overcome her sickness.

We got a lot of chance to introduce her cuteness in the media all over the world.
And many people told me that they never knew that chipmunk is such a cute animal before knowing Bikke.
And Bikke brought me many encounters.
We thank all your support, family, friends, vet who tried to cure her.

I gave a little blossom crown for the last goodbye.

Please keep her in your heart.
Bikke never forgets your love.
Thank you for all the love to this little chipmunk.

ファンの皆様へ。
ビッケは4月30日未明に旅立ちました。

最後の動画は前日の夜に撮影したものです。
私が帰宅するとフラフラしたながらも起きて、手に顔を乗せて来てくれました。
そして寝る前には指に手を乗せて離れませんでした。
ずっと私の帰りを待っていてくれたんだなと感じました。

その後は、お腹の上で寝たがりそのまま一緒に寝ていました。
ビッケは眠ったまま静かに亡くなりました。
小さな小さな体で頑張りました。
最後まで、とても優しいシマリスでした。

4歳と決して長くはなかったですが、1歳の頃から脱毛の症状が出て甲状腺ホルモン異常が発覚しその後は月1回以上の通院生活でしたが彼女はいつも前向きに頑張っていたように思います。
残念ながら、明確な治療法がなく一緒に試行錯誤しながら治療に励みました。

世界中から愛されたビッケはロイター通信を始めアメリカの人気番組に登場し、世界の多くのメディアでビッケの愛らしい姿を届ける事が出来ました。

国内でも写真集や写真展で、多くの方にシマリスの魅力を知って頂くキッカケになったと言って頂きました。
またこの子を通じて多くの方々と出会うことができました。

応援してくださった皆様、そして家族、友人、治療を続けてくださった動物病院のスタッフの皆様に感謝を申し上げます。

ビッケには最後にトレードマークの花冠を作ってあげました。

どうか忘れないで、ビッケの事を。
ビッケも皆様から頂いた多くの愛情を決して忘れないと思います。
今まで沢山の愛をありがとう。
