Static Between Us is not a lost record, not a rediscovery, and not a claim on history. It is simply a what-if album: a carefully crafted homage to an era many of us still return to.

The album is the result of hundreds of AI prompts, song sketches and refinements, all aimed at capturing the production, arrangements and tonal balance typical of the era. The tracks were mastered in Landr to keep the focus on the album experience, not individual singles.
The band image was generated using Nano Banana Pro, and the final artwork completed in Photoshop.

At The AOR Radio, we wanted to create the kind of album we ourselves would have loved to find in a record store in the late ’80s.
Songs built on strong melodies, emotional distance, subtle tension and that unmistakable late-80s AOR DNA.

No legends are replaced.
This release exists purely as a celebration of a sound and an era — and as a thank-you to the artists who actually lived it, wrote the songs, toured the clubs and made AOR what it was.

We hope you enjoy listening to an album that, at least to us at The AOR Radio, feels like it belongs somewhere around 1988.
