Every year the residents in Ottery St Mary take part in what is known as Tar Barrel Rolling. Only those born and raised in the town can carry the flaming barrels and start doing so from a young age. Tom and Rob took a trip to watch this mad event and here is the result.

DISCLAIMER: The Tar Barrel event in reality is not actually very dangerous, there are very little injuries, the safety team do a great job and it is very well organised. However, from an outside perspective it seems like it would be extremely dangerous and there are not many carnivals I can find that have the same amount of craziness.
