Cinema Paradiso: Beauty of Ode to Cinema and Nostalgia

Описание к видео Cinema Paradiso: Beauty of Ode to Cinema and Nostalgia

Cinema Paradiso (1988)
Director: Giuseppe Tornatore
Cinematography: Blasco Giurato

Tornatore and Giurato's film is about so passages regarding life and cinema. Throughout the film, little Otto's journey with life is connected with the magic of films. And sometimes film lovers, critics, and filmmakers tend to forget the most meaningful thing about why we love cinema in the first place and we need a reminder in much later years. In order to state this theme, the director frames the way Otto is affected by how projectors work and films are made, as well as to never look back. That doesn't mean he is supposed to forget everything. The ending, especially, points to the direction of what is behind the camera and the forgotten edited clips of kisses.
