Kittitas County Sheriff Clay Myers said the Department of Homeland Security has removed a map and related claims labeling the county as a “sanctuary jurisdiction” following discussions with state and national law enforcement associations.

In a written statement posted to Facebook, Myers said the DHS allegations prompted responses from the Washington State Sheriffs’ Association, the Western States Sheriffs’ Association, and the National Sheriffs’ Association.
