Last weekend, 13 members from ALM Translations Ltd. took part in a specially tailored team challenge to the top of Snowdon. Even though it was late April, the conditions were wintery - cold, snowy and windy..brrr!

This was not one of our regular events - we don't even have a page for it. However with backgrounds in outdoor pursuits and with qualified mountain leadership staff we were happy to oblige with a Snowdon Challenge that was a little bit different.

The teams ascended by the quiet South Ridge of Snowdon and avoided the crowds. There was a little bit of scrambling but nothing to deter the intrepid summiteers. Capably guided by Phil and Jock, the team were set 3 objectives:

1.to reach the summit of Snowdon and return
2.to support and encourage each other in the challenge
3.to complete a series of mini challenges along the way including the brilliant Bothy Bag Challenge!

Challenges were requested en-route but as the summit neared and the weather closed in, the team concentrated on keeping together and watching their footings.

Happy to have reached the summit in challenging wintry conditions - the teams joined the myriad of people for photos and then chose the quiet descent down the Rhyd Ddu path to finish.
