Thank you to Don and Linda who pulled up to the cemetery in their car while I was filming. They told me they used to be the caretakers of the cemetery and talked to me for a bit about the history of the place. Apparently people used to constantly try and steal rocks out of the cemetery's perimeter wall. Pretty cool little tidbit that I never could have learned from solo research. Only from talking to locals.
