Almighty Dream is a M.U.G.E.N fullgame developed using the I.K.E.M.E.N GO engine. Developed by Mega-X, Almighty Dream features a wide variety of playable characters, including Chun-Li from the Street Fighter series, Falco from Star Fox, and even Foxy and Toy Chica from Five Nights at Freddy's. The game was originally released as version 0.1 around January 2022, and was finished around September 2023.

Allmighty Dream has gameplay similar to the King of Fighters, with four normal attacks comprised of punches and kicks of varying strengths, a blowback attack (HP) that knocks the opponent down on hit, and fast movement, with running available to cover ground (in addition to airdashes, which does not appear in any mainline KOF game as an universal mechanic). Super attacks in this game use up one (LV1) to three (LV3) bars of meter, with higher consumption (usually LV3) denotating stronger super attacks.

There's also MAX mode (activated using a dedicated button, unlike other KOF games which requires a button combination), which allows you to temporarily cancel some special moves into other special moves. MAX mode can only be activated if you have three bars of meter (and uses up a bar upon activation), but is still great for combos because of its high damage potential. The timer counts as one bar of meter, as LV1 super attacks uses up the remaining timer as one bar (consequently, LV2 and LV3 supers uses up the rest of your meter normally).

Other mechanics include rolls (press LP + LK) which serve as evasive manuevers, Power Charge (LK + MP) which charges up your meter, a burst mechanic useful to end opponent combos early (HP during hitstun), and the ability to play with other characters as a tag team. Using the assist button (A), you could either have your assist do an attack (forwards + A), do a super attack (backwards + A), or switch out between your current character and your assist (down + A).

Arcade Mode has you face off against five random opponents, with either Omega Rugal (from the King of FIghters) or Ronald McDonald (the McDonald's mascot) serving as your final opponents. Today, though, we end up facing against Ronald because he is the easier of the two. For someone who was infamous in the M.U.G.E.N community for being an insanely busted character, you'd think that he would be way harder than the other guy who literally throws out Genocide Cutters every time you'd jump. However, he isn't because Ronald (like the rest of the CPU opponents) doesn't like to eat overhead attacks during blockstrings, and from there you could force feed a full ass combo to his mouth. Serves him right for getting my order wrong during my 7th birthday...

MAX mode combos with Kyo Kusanagi are fun to do, and these types of combos existing automatically means that this game is (at least IMO) good and you should go check it out. My only complaint is that Mega-X made Kyo meaner in the win quotes compared to canon. He may be a jerk in KOF lore, but I think telling his opponent that they make him sick and will therefore get no mercy from him is a bit too far and genuinely caught me off guard when I was playing this game for the first time.
