First thing I’ve got to say before even the boss fight itself, the music in phase 1 is absolutely amazing holy shit! I’ve been loving the variations of the Jenova theme and the fact they even got a choir for this one made it even better. The other two phase themes were cool but honestly they didn’t compare to phase 1, almost feel like it should’ve been phase 3 lol.

Now for the fight itself, one of the first things that came to mind is how much this looked like a souls boss, especially a Bloodborne one. The designs of these Jenova beings are so grotesque, much more so compared to anything else you really see in game but they’re great. This was also yet another first attempt run, honestly I was so absorbed in this battle that from start to finish and I felt like I was doing pretty good for my first time so I went with this run. If there’s any more Jenova fights like this I’m really looking forward to them!
